1. About ZippZapp

ZippZapp is an intercity ridesharing platform that connects two parties:

• Car Owners — who publish available rides on a route
• Passengers — who request rides on a matching route

When a car owner's route matches a passenger's request, the ride is confirmed. Ride coordination takes place via WhatsApp, and bookings are submitted through Google Forms.

2. Information We Collect

When you submit a ride booking or ride request through our Google Form, we collect the following information:

• Name — to identify you during ride matching
• Email address — to send booking confirmations and updates
• Phone number — to coordinate rides via WhatsApp
• Travel route details — origin, destination, and travel date/time

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

ZippZapp does not collect the following:

• GPS or real-time location data
• Payment information (payments are made directly via UPI between users)
• Photos or camera access
• Device contacts
• Any biometric or sensitive personal data

4. How We Use Your Information

The information you provide is used solely for the following purposes:

• Matching car owners with passengers on the same intercity route
• Communicating ride confirmation and coordination via WhatsApp
• Sending booking-related emails or notifications

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your information may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:

• Between matched parties: Your name and phone number may be shared with your matched ride partner (car owner or passenger) for coordination purposes via WhatsApp.
• Google Forms & Google Workspace: Booking data is collected and stored through Google Forms, subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Legal compliance: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests.

6. Third-Party Services

ZippZapp uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Google Forms — for collecting ride booking information
• WhatsApp — for ride coordination between matched users
• UPI (Unified Payments Interface) — payments happen directly between users outside the app; ZippZapp does not process or store any payment data

7. Data Storage and Security

Your booking information is stored securely in Google Forms/Google Sheets. We take reasonable precautions to protect your data from unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

9. Children's Privacy
